Philosophy of Christian Counseling
"In this life, we are guaranteed to struggle one way or another, and that struggle can look different for everyone. These struggles can leave us disoriented and hopeless. It is in these low places that the Lord meets us, as we know that God is near to the broken-hearted. Therapy is a place to be vulnerable and open, as God meets you where you are at. Old wounds heal, emotions and feelings are processed, and hope is restored. As a counselor, I will walk alongside my clients in their journey, integrating biblical truths and psychological techniques while reminding clients of the goodness and transforming power of God, just as counselors once did for me."
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen”. 1 Peter 5:10-11
Education & Background in Christian Counseling:
Nicholas Delices is a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor intern based in North Port. he received a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from The Baptist University of Florida in 2023. He is currently working on his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
His drive for counseling comes from his own experience of processing grief and trauma on his own counseling journey. He understands what it is like to feel hopeless and without direction. Faith-based counseling helped him to process, heal, and better understand who he is in the eyes of the Lord. Today, he aims to create a safe and welcoming environment to promote the same healing that changed him.
