Education & Background:

James Fry is a graduate of the Master of Arts degree program in Christian Psychology and Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio, in conjunction with Emerge Counseling Center in Akron, Ohio. He has 40 years of experience in Christian ministry, counseling and therapy. He has been a full-time psychotherapist counseling individuals, marriages, families, children and adolescents in Ohio and Florida since 1983. He has also served as an inpatient therapist at Riverside Behavioral Center in Punta Gorda, Florida, and as a therapist and supervisor of therapists at Peace River Outward Bound, where he worked with adolescent males referred by the courts.

In 2005, Jim saw the need for multi-faceted coaching and

counseling centers and began the work to open several

such centers throughout Southwest Florida. Jim is a Licensed

Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.

"My goal is to assist Southwest Florida churches as well as

individual Christians or Christian families to live healthy lives.

My desire is for children, adolescents and adults to reach their

fullest potential by living lives that are relationally, emotionally,

psychologically, and spiritually healthy."

Philosophy of Christian Counseling:

"I am extremely comfortable integrating good psychology with Christian beliefs and practices. I pray for my clients at the conclusion of the counseling session and oftentimes at the beginning of the session. I incorporate scripture when appropriate. As a Christian counselor, I believe that we have the power to change ourselves - with God's help and with the support and guidance of a trained, effective Christian counselor."

"I was experiencing the very bottom of life due to a series of poor decisions I had made. When I prayed to God for healing, He not only sent me the right counselor to help restore my mind and body, He sent me the very best. Jim and his group are hugely blessed with the gifts of healing, compassion, and understanding; you could do no better than to trust yourself to their expert care." – J.M.

"Mr. Fry helped me work through painful experiences, fears, and anxiety. Through his guidance, he led me to see the importance of inviting God into each dark place so that His love could cleanse my heart. His counsel helped me see how much God nurtures us and heals each broken, wounded place." – G.H.
