Philosophy of Christian Counseling

I believe there is nothing new under the sun. At times, life’s problems may feel new and scary, but someone, somewhere along the way has experienced what you are going through. We can find these experiences and examples in scripture and in people we encounter and or have learned about along life’s way. In all these experiences, we can learn a lesson. We can learn to prevent, cope, understand, and know we are not alone. I am also a true believer in the saying 'Life happens for us and not to us.' – Byron Katie. The overall goal is to pass life’s test. Why should we attempt to reach this goal daily? The answer is simple and yet so complex, and that is because there is life after death. So, we must ask ourselves during this lifetime, 'What do I need to do?  Who do I need to become?  Where do I go?  How do I get there?' Once we collect all the answers to these questions, there is no doubt in my heart, you will experience self-fulfillment and a purpose-driven life that will keep you on track towards the overall goal.

“I strive to serve in helping those I work with by having intentional and purposeful dialogue. I am gifted in being able to discern and see the bigger picture while sharing wise insight through the power of God’s manual. I enjoy taking the time to get to know, listen, and understand my clients from a holistic perspective. Most importantly, I enjoy the journey of guiding my clients towards self-fulfillment, which in return is fulfilling for me.

"Allow me to serve you! It would be my honor and privilege to help you accomplish your counseling or coaching goals and support you in your search for a sense of belonging, improved self-love, self-esteem, and self-fulfillment.”

Testimonials from Clients:

"I’ve always been a private person when it comes to my feelings, and how I deal with things. After years of doing things my way, but not getting the results I wanted, I decided to take my chances with a counselor. I was connected with Tye Gibbs. I had no idea what to expect, and I wasn’t sure if I would get any results, but I’m so glad that I took that step and showed up for myself. Tye is such a great person. She listened to me and I know you’re probably saying that’s her job, but no, she actually listens and responds. She gave me exercises that had such a huge impact on my life, and for that I am forever grateful. If I could give 100 stars, I absolutely would." – C.B.

"Tye Gibbs provided expert Biblical advice and compassionate care as we navigated a family situation that caused us great concern. We were in a state of uncertainty regarding how to proceed that would maintain the integrity of our relationships within our family unit. Tye listened and really understood the issues of our dilemma. She prayed for us, gave suggestions, and checked on us as we followed through with her advice. We then had conversations re-evaluating how to proceed. We highly recommend Life Coaching and Couseling Center, and Tye Gibbs specifically, for anyone who is facing a situation where Godly support from a kind and loving person is required." – J.G.

"I hope this email finds you well on this Sunday evening. I had to reach out to you in regard to the overwhelming positive impact Tye has made on my daughter. As I have voiced to you over the phone, it has been a long road of therapists with her, as she has been in therapy since she was around 7 years old.  I can assure you, therapy was NEVER a thing she looked forward to, as we pretty much had to drag her almost every time she went. She always viewed it as something she HAD to do and not something she WANTED to do. I never thought that at 17 years old, this would all change....However, it absolutely has, thanks to wonderful, amazing and loving Tye. After the first session, my daughter walked out the door and starting clapping her hands, jumping up and down and giggling, "I love her!  I love her!  I love her so much!  I can't wait to go back!" Sundays are no longer a source of dread, but a day of looking forward to Monday evening at 5, when she can meet with Tye. After only three weeks, I can already see the strategies being applied that Tye has taught her and the positive impact it has made on her behavior in the home because of Tye. She wants to work with Tye and share the things she has done to help her. My daughter WANTS to talk to Tye. She LOVES to talk to Tye.

Tye has made such an awesome impact on my daughter that I have also started sessions with her. Speaking from personal experience having been through several therapists myself, I have never felt such a bond with a therapist or been with a therapist that I truly felt wholeheartedly cared so much as Tye. Tye never looks at the time or makes us feel like just another client to work through for an hour. Tye is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met and we are so BLESSED to have her in our lives. I know Tye wants what is best for our family, and truly WANTS to help. I feel it in my heart." – C.T. â€‹
